JEWELRY DESIGNER, THOUGHT LEADER, HOLISTIC HEALER, MOTHER, AQUARIUS SUN.
20 Q’S WITH AMANDA
Where are you from? Originally Orlando, FL. I went to an art school in Savannah, GA for a year and then transferred to CU Boulder and never left Colorado!
Gold or silver? BOTH. I used to be strictly a gold gal, but I'm really leaning into my feminine this year and starting to gravitate towards silver. I'm a big fan of mixing metals and creating two tone pieces.
Favorite gemstone and why? Right now, I'm obsessed with Citrine, Garnet, & Black Diamonds. There's just something about the warm, honey color of Citrine paired with its powerful ability to support in actualizing manifestations and attracting joy that calls to me. I'm having a moment with black diamonds after putting one in a bracelet for my mom. I'm an aquarius, so anything that goes against the norm is my jam and that's what a black diamond is to me. A stone that stands for justice, loyalty, and strength, but also screams I'm different and I'm proud. Ok lastly, I was born in January, and TBH, I kind of hated Garnet my whole life. However, after apprenticing at Love Saro I fell madly in love with it. Garnet, to me, represents strength and growth. The empowered woman. A brave and passionate trailblazer who is unafraid to fail and light everything on fire and rise from the ashes with a fresh perspective. It’s the perfect stone for anyone who needs a little inspiration, drive, or for lack of better words, fire under their a** to become all that they're meant to with confidence. I just LOVE IT.
Piece of clothing or accessory you cannot live without? Is there a story behind it? I Would simply not be able to go on without a cowgirl boot, any pair of sunnies (you can never have too many), a tall heel, and the vintage designer purses my mom passed down to me.
Most sentimental piece of jewelry and the story behind it? my engagement & wedding rings. My diamond is an heirloom from my mom, and then we went to a local jeweler to have it pronged and set in a yellow gold band. BUT we also added a peacock turquoise crown and a yellow gold band with little diamonds. My husband has a matching yellow gold & turquoise band. Lucas and I first started dating when we were 16, so the process of designing our rings and creating a physical symbol of our love was the most special thing ever.
When I am not in the studio you can find me..? Spending the day at the creek with my two toddler boys, podcasting, moving my body either in the gym or outside, walking around a historic downtown street with my husband, or in the bath.
Food you can always eat? Dark chocolate, pho, chilli, and sauerkraut. Not together. But a day where I don't have any of these is a rare occurrence.
Sweet or savory? Savory!!!
Coffee order? Ok don't get me started on my relationship with caffeine, lol. I LOVE the taste of coffee, but it really doesn't make me feel great. So if I'm drinking caffeine, I do a hot cappuccino or iced latte with local dairy milk or oat milk. If I'm not, I do Rooibos tea. I just discovered that The Coffee Stand right down the street from our Boulder location has a too-die-for Rooibos latte!!!
Guilty pleasure? Trash reality tv and disney movies.
Go-to cocktail? Margarita on the rocks with salt.
Favorite vacation? I've had the privilege of exploring a lot of different places, cultures, and climates. However, being a Florida girl at heart I'm really craving the beach. So I'd have to say going to Pensacola, FL (where my husband went to college) OR anywhere where I can get on the beach and in the ocean.
Favorite time of day? Morning. I love a new start, a sunrise, grounding on dewy grass, and morning snuggles with my boys.
What can you not live without? My kids, husband, and like some form of online sharing. I started a fashion blog back in 2015 and since then, it's evolved into sharing my life, thoughts, and feelings through Instagram, Tiktok, and podcasting. I love talking openly about the complexities of life in your twenties, womanhood, motherhood, and self-growth.
Go-to work out? It definitely changes depending on the season. Summer: hiking, running/walking, and weightlifting. Winter: weightlifting, skiing, and yoga.
First tattoo? I got the words "inward & onward" in my handwriting when I was 19. I was in a place of feeling deeply introspective and realized that the answer to most of the obstacles that arise in my life is to go inward, ask my intuition, and move onward with that newfound clarity.
Favorite piece of art & why? My husband and I went to Italy a few summers ago and took a day trip to the little island Burano which is known for it's lace making. We got this cute little boat made out of lace in this adorable 5x7 gold frame. It's tiny and my favorite thing ever, and reminds me of probably our first "I made it" moment as a married couple.
What inspires you? Dressing up and playing with vintage and second hand clothes. Watching my children interact with the world. Conversations with people in the morning over a gluten free pastry or late at night when our eyes are slowly growing heavy. Writing in my journal and discovering what's in my subconscious. Exploring new places. Listening to people speak.
What do you love most about Colorado? The smell of wildflowers by the creek in the summer.
What else should we know about you? I used to be a holistic mindset and wellness coach and work with women to release self-limiting beliefs, let go of habits that no longer serve us, and connect deeper with who they are and what they want so that they can live more joyful and fulfilling lives. I did that through one-on-one sessions, human design readings, and group sessions! I'm very passionate about supporting you in not only looking your best, but also feeling your most nourished, fulfilled self.
