In the past few years, my family and I have experienced firsthand the devastation of wildfires—first in Boulder during the Marshall Fire in 2021, and now again in Los Angeles, where we grew up and built a deeply rooted community. These fires have been overwhelming, heartbreaking, and nearly unbearable to witness.
